Toko The silence was like a call to the devil. It scared me. No birds sang here, no sun shone in the dull, grey sky. I walked slowly up a worn down driveway, my heart thudding at any sudden sound. Then, I saw it. The corps of a beautiful, chestnut mare. It was torn up to shreds. A lion, mountain lion, had been here. It had probably travelled down from the mountain lake, in search of a meal. And it had found one., a young mare. Th horror in front of me was...devastating. I felt like screaming. My blood was cold as I continued to stare. This body had been dead for a while now. I turned, looking away from the sight. The lone ranch looked peaceful, and warm. I galloped over to the structure, in search of a warm place to stay.
Approaching the red building, I soon saw the flaws. The paint was peeling off of the wood, boards were missing...It was a sad excuse for shelter, but, it was something. I entered to find some old, stale hay. It was in a bed form as if many had stayed in here to sleep. I grinned, going over to the cover and resting my legs. I thought I'd stay for a while. I needed the rest.

YinSpike "Guess we'll have to hang here for a bit" Yin Said to the rather glum Spike who was following drearaly behind Yin. Yin looked back towards his misserable companion. "Cheer up Spike you'll have the Ornate Plains back in no time."
Spike looked up as Yin spoke, He could see they where coming up to a barn with a fue fallen rails, there hooves walked over hard shingle and grass path. "I'm fine Yin" He said coldly, He walked slower than ever as Yin still walked ahead.
"It's not that bad here" He said slowing up a bit and walking beside Spike. "Come on Prince" He said to Spike smiling trying to get the Heir to smile a little.
Spike scouled at Yin and walked almost over the body of a horse, "Yah, whos that!?" Spike said shocked. Thier wasn't much left of the horse, but it was defanaitly chestnut. "I don't want to stay here!" He said walking backwards into Yins chest.
"Don't be so cowerdly!" Yin barked at him pushing infront of Spike. He'd been a loner for the last 2 years he'd seen his fair share of dead anything. "Its probaly been here for weeks"
Spike tryed to egnore the body he walked past it and Yin. towards a barn. "I'm tired" He said walking from the sun to the shaidy darkness of the barn. He could make out another horse laying down, He guessed that was dead too and stood close to the doorway and closed his eyes to sleep standing up.
Yin watched him walk away then looked back at the body, "Poor Mare" he said to himself then walked a little way away to graze on some sweet grass growing in some of the broken paddocks.

Toko shot up. "Crap." Was the only word that escaped him. There were horses, two to be exact. They were quiet talkitive, great. Just what he needed was some horses talking to him. Hopefully, they didn't come in here. They were passing by, yup...but he knew. They'd be in here soon.

A huge stormy looking stallion walked over the wild grass, ahead a large half fallen to peases barn stood in the field. He sniffed the air, a micsture of sents hit him right away, but one fowl smell made him look sharpy infront of him. A body lay rotten in the grass, and it smelled discusting. Undornted Kane walked folward and passed it, not looking back at the horrible sight. Two horses were grasing close by, great... the tierd stallion past them and entered the old rouen ducking under the door. It was warmer in here, and smelled of dusty hay and strow. He looked down toward the darker end and could make out a silowet standing there looking tence. He didnt now wever to aproch it or not, so he simply boomed hows there?
